100 Films

Talking to an old friend recently, he off-handedly lamented that he probably wouldn’t be able to see all the great cinema in his lifetime (he’s in his early 30s and is in good health, lol, but still). So I wrote up a list that will pretty much cover everything, and by everything I mean a lot of American films and an almost complete absence of canonical Great Films (like the kind you see on lists/books such as 1000 Films to See Before You Die; stuff that has stood the test of time or created an entire genre unto itself or something). I just thought of the most striking, interesting films that have left a lasting impression on my life. And I probably missed a bunch. But still.
